Mission Awareness

All Saints Church supports local, national and international charities and those nominated by the Deanery and Diocese, these include Kinkiizi, Uganda and the charity which provides rice for the clergy in Myanmar, Burma. Local charities include local hospices, the Christchurch Macmillan Unit and Hyped, for the homeless youth in Dorset.

The church  supports a student in Uganda, through the Kinkiizi Education Fund. The Children’s Society is supported by the Women’s Fellowship Group. The church fills shoeboxes each Christmas for the Samaritian’s Purse Charity, Operation Christmas Child.

A successful charity auction is held at the Harvest Supper each year.

A Mission Awareness Group nominates a ‘Mission of the Month’ charity.

The July Mission of the Month is to The Mission to Seafarers.  The work of the Chaplains is invaluable to the members of the seafaring community of all faiths, offering support, shelter, refreshment, communication to families at home, transport and frienship.
